What to look for

The ui tag also covers sirens, car horns and field recordings from other sources, so this page keeps only the three sources that publish interface sounds. Packs name sounds by action: click, select, switch, toggle, rollover, scroll, open, close, back. Pick one family for your whole interface, because clips from the same pack share a naming scheme and a recording method. The median clip is 0.2 seconds.

License

All 24 tracks on this page are CC0, so no credit is required. CC0 means you can use the sound in an app, a game or a video without credit. The row shows the license, and Uncommon Ear writes a credit line for any track that asks for one.

How to use it

Play the same clip for the same action every time, and keep a separate clip for errors and for confirmations. Interface clips are short, so check how your engine or framework handles overlapping playback before you assign one to a rapid action such as scrolling.
